Festival Choir was music to our ears!
You will usually find Mr. Damon (custodian/maintenance) in the hallways, keeping our 1st floor clean and tiddy. This morning, the kids found him on the playground and challenged him to a game of soccer.

The Mitchell School District celebrated their district Teachers of the Year and Classified Staff of the Year on Wednesday, February 28th at the Sherman Center on the campus of Dakota Wesleyan. Angela Putnam was chosen as District Classified Staff of the Year and Molly Becker was chosen as District Teacher of the Year. What a BEAUTIFUL day we had today! Almost 70 degrees on February 26th???? Many of our teachers took advantage of the weather had their class spend extra time outdoors doing a math walk or read-a-loud on the lawn.
Tomorrow will snap us all back to normal with much cooler weather and the return of South Dakota wind. We may even see some flakes of snow. Please send your children in proper coats as we expect to go outside for recess.

Spring Picture Order Forms are going home today. A photo is ONLY taken if the packet has been returned with payment. Please make sure your child's teacher is aware if you plan on taking photos so they can be sent to the gym at the appropriate time.

Reminder, Valentine's Day candy is NOT an acceptable breakfast for CHILDREN. Parents, you may eat as much candy as you'd like. We're not trying to teach you math or reading tomorrow.
