We're going to continue the Christmas Chaos next week with dress-up for ALL OF LONGFELLOW, sponsored by the Student Council. Remember, no face paint or specially colored hair spray.
We're kind of a big deal!! Tune-in to Keloland news tonight at 6 and 10pm to learn more about Mitchell School District's change to all day Begindergarten, for the 2025-26 school year. Keloland came to Longfellow to learn more about the program and speak to administration and staff about the benefits of the program changes.
DWU Youth Baseball Camp coming up
The Longfellow Spirit Committee has been hard at work organizing fun activities for the staff, and the door decorating contest was a huge success! Every door in the building was decorated, and staff members were assigned available doors to work on.
The creativity and effort that went into decorating the doors has been impressive. We've put together a video to showcase the staff's talent and enthusiasm.
We think you'll clearly see that the staff at Longfellow truly care about your children and work hard to make this school a fun and enjoyable place to come to each day.

School Board Meeting, tonight at Longfellow.
Thank you, Vern Eide!
You know it's going to be a long day when Mrs. Miller, the crossing guard, needs to guzzle coffee straight. Let's have a great day!
Whoa, how weird! Look how many of us happened to dress in flannel/plaid today. You know what they say.; if you spend too much time with your co-workers, you start to dress and talk alike.
What fun we've been having here at Longfellow. Last night was the K/1 Christmas program and it was a packed house! Way to go, Lions!! However, we'd be ok if Snoozy Snowflake and her friends stayed away a little while longer!
If you are going the Parade of Lights tonight, please stop by and vote on Den A's Christmas tree.
The December newsletter is chock-full of information and fun! You will also find answers to a lot of questions we get asked on a regular basis. Please check it out!

Are you having a hard time finding a turkey to cook for Thanksgiving? Maybe you should have pizza!
The 2nd Annual Densgiving was a huge success today. Den A serves a delicious Thanksgiving meal for the den. The students made the placemats and helped donate food. The teachers prepared the food. And the office smelled like Grandma's house on Thanksgiving morning!
Today, our Mayor signed his proclamation, declaring Nov 18-22, 2024 as the annual observance of American Education Week. 5th grader, Jace Stemper, was chosen to represent Longfellow at the signing.
Are you laying out clothes for school?
Don't forget our dress-up days as we celebrate American Education Week! If you don't have anything that fits the theme, you can always wear something Longfellow or Kernels.
Why not try some older games with your kids?
REMINDER-Longfellow gear order forms are due to your teacher or the office by THIS FRIDAY, Nov 15th. Wear it proudly!!
