Mrs. Wilson's class of third graders is acting as bridge engineers this morning for science! They are working on forces and using their bridges to see how much force they can withstand before collapsing. With the use of pennies, students are able to test their bridge's strength and discover how different building methods can affect its durability. Way to go third-grade engineers!

In Mrs. Cassutt & Mrs. Zirpel's small group,
We'll craft and we'll laugh, not a moment to stoop!
Come step into Becker/Stolp's multiage science lab! Today, these scientists are investigating patterns of motion exhibited by a trapeze. As they complete this experiment, they are making observations of the pushes and pulls exhibited by a trapeze. From their observations, they will take measurements and predict the motion of a real trapeze. We cannot wait to learn what these scientists discover!
KGL has been working on a dinosaur unit this week and today they are on a dig site!! On their dig site, they found some dinosaur fossils. They are earning their Junior Paleontologist badge by excavating the stones out of the dinosaur fossils. We love the hard work these paleontologists are doing, counting the stones they find as they dig. Happy digging!

Another station focused on enhancing reading comprehension through a passage and corresponding worksheet. The final station involved reading with Mrs. Vogl, where students read books tailored to their level while also reinforcing the phonics skill of the week (diphthongs with "ou/ow"). We're proud of the hard work and accomplishments of our students!
