PLC had a fun and exciting afternoon! Some students went to Art with Mrs. Geist, where they worked on making books, drawing birds, creating an alien party scene, and crafting marker robots. We cannot wait to see all the beautiful creations that come out of class today! The other group of PLC students tackled some fun science that also linked to their math and ELA! These scientists discussed myths, hypotheses, and tested theories. Students will begin researching a myth of their choice and using their scientific knowledge to prove or disprove it. We can't wait to see what the PLC Myth Busters come up with!

Hooray for Mrs. Jerke's first-grade superstars! Today, our small group of brilliant first graders dove deep into the world of sentences. We explored the essential parts needed for a sentence, such as capital letters, punctuation, and spaces. But that's not all! We took it a step further by applying our newfound skills to words with the magical endings -all, -ull, and -oll. We had a ball with Mrs. Jerke; there was no lull. And now, we can't wait to build more sentences; we are on a roll!

Come on down to Miss Hart's room to play a round of SPIN THE BLEND!! These kindergartners are hard at work identifying the different blends on their worksheets. Students are taking turns spinning the wheel that has various blend options for them to work on. Once the spinner lands on a blend, the students then look at their worksheets and color the image that corresponds to that blend. What a fun way to practice our blends as we continue to learn more each week!

Today in Mrs. Gamber's room, Miss Eschenbaum led a fun and engaging activity for a small group of students! They discussed the different parts of a story and then identified whether each element belonged to the Main Idea or a Supporting Detail category. We absolutely adore this interactive approach, as it not only helps students grasp the main idea of the lesson but also equips them with valuable skills for crafting their own stories in the future!

Alongside exploring the cosmos, these young minds delved into the world of women in engineering. To ignite their inner engineers, KF soared into action with a fun paper airplane crafting session. And what's engineering without some exciting testing? Huge thanks to Miss Angie & Miss TaRhea for being the 'finish line' as our budding engineers sent their creations flying high!
