On Friday, Feb. 7th a regional art wars competition was held at South Dakota State University hosted by the SDSU art department. 10 schools participated including SF Jefferson and SF Lincoln along with Mitchell and 7 other schools. Dailyn Kiner, a Junior at Mitchell High, placed 1st in the painting division and has qualified for the state competition to be held in April. There were 59 participants in the painting division. Other categories included photography, digital drawing, drawing, and pottery.
