We are down to our final five days of school for the year!
Congratulations to these 6 students who were selected to participate in the South Dakota Elementary Honor Choir! The choir will take place this October in Rapid City. Over 530+ singers auditioned and a choir of the top 130 students were selected.
Ron’s bike shop and the Palace City Pedalers donated three bicycles and helmets to some lucky LBW students.
Palace City Pedalers Bike Club is a vibrant biking community-based in the Mitchell, South Dakota area, established to help more people discover a love of biking and the great outdoors.

After reading the book Holes, LBW fifth graders sold peach Splooshes to all of the students and staff and raised $1193 to donate to Mitchell Heart and Sole!!
Congratulations LBW Scholarship winner Keatyn Wede! She will be recognized for her award Tuesday night at the 5th grade recognition ceremony at 6:30 PM at the PAC.

Remember this fall when the Busload of Books stopped at LB Williams? (They chose one school in each state to stop at and give each child a book, and thanks to Mrs. Bartscher’s hard work they chose LB Williams!) Well today we got a special message that build-a-bear has partnered with them and they are giving each student at LBW their very own build-a-bear reading buddy!

The District 5th grade band concert is scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th at 7pm at the performing arts center.
Our 5th graders have enjoyed working with their 1st grade buddies this year!
Modern Woodman is honoring Hometown Heroes tonight at the First Friday event in Mitchell. Mrs. Bartscher, LBW Librarian is getting a donation from Modern Woodman plus will be honored along with some others at the Corn Palace Plaza this Friday at 7:00pm.
