Congratulations to Mrs. Moege on her KIDS Grant award for 2023!! She was awarded a grant for $650!! Here is a brief summary of her grant:
"The project "Building Literacy and Belonging with Books" will provide books for Mitchell's 6-12 English Learners (EL). We'll use the books for independent reading, read-alouds, whole-class novels, and/or book clubs.
The overall project goals are to generate interest among students in reading for pleasure; give students reading practice to increase vocabulary and fluency; offer students opportunities to write and speak about what they are reading; and provide books students can connect to culturally.
Mrs. Moege and her students want to thank the Kids Grant donors for their generosity and commitment to Mitchell students!!
