New kitchen and cafeteria décor greeted Longfellow students on Monday, March 20, officially creating the Lions Den in that building.

'Lions Den' theme enhances cafeteria ambience at Longfellow

As part of her overall plans for improving the food service programming in Mitchell, food service director Leann Carmody, is bringing a theme to each of the school cafeterias.  Longfellow students learned the new theme of their cafeteria, the ‘Lions Den,’ this Monday as illustrations rioted across kitchen and cafeteria walls, installed over the recent spring break by Make it Mine Design. The enhancements are intended to create a new excitement about school meals, boosting student participation rates and focusing on healthier eating habits.
