MHS science program takes major leap forward with $3,500 KIDS Grant award

Mitchell's KIDS Grant Program brought 35 Benjamins to bear in an endorsement of the use of GPS in science classrooms and the integration of data  collection and analysis throughout science and related classrooms, using Samsung Galaxy tablets. New science standards have caused science curriculums to shift away from an exclusive reliance on scientific facts and toward one in which students engage in the scientific method and actual research.  The KIDS grant program, funded by Roger Musick/Innovative Systems, Dr. Phil and Mrs. Sherri Becker, and the Mitchell Area Charitable Foundation, used a group of community evaluators to review and fund successful grant applications.
